Mentharil

Peppermint Oil Complex
Intestinal Comfort Formula

Peppermint Oil with Rosemary and Thyme Oil Extracts – enteric-coated softgel

Soothes GI Discomfort, Helps Reduce Occasional Gas and Supports GI Function

Peppermint oil, the main ingredient in Mentharil, has been used traditionally for centuries to improve digestion and soothe the GI tract. It continues to be used today by Western and Eastern cultures.

Clinical studies support the use of peppermint oil for indigestion and irritable bowel syndrome.

The main ingredients in peppermint calm the muscles of the stomach in the GI tract. This allows painful digestive gas to pass. They also improve the flow of bile which supports fat digestion.

Several studies have shown that enteric-coated peppermint capsules can help treat IBS symptoms (irritable bowel syndrome), including pain, bloating, gas, and diarrhea.

Mentharil peppermint oil complex contains the amount of peppermint oil used in clinical studies for digestive health.

The German Commission E (Germany’s “Food and Drug Administration” that gives scientific expertise for the approval of substances and products previously used in traditional, folk and herbal medicine) approves oral use of peppermint oil for spastic discomfort of upper GI tract (IBS/irritable bowel syndrome) and bile ducts, and irritable colon.

Rosemary Leaf and Thyme – Carminitive Herbs for Flatulence

Rosemary and Thyme are carminative herbs. Carminitives help to reduce gas (flatulence) in the GI tract by either preventing its formation or facilitating its expulsion.

The German Commission E approves oral use of rosemary leaf for dyspeptic complaints like flatulence, feeling of distention and mild cramp-like GI upsets.

The European Scientific Cooperative on Phytotherapy (ESCOP) reports that thyme has been used to treat stomatitis (inflammation of mouth and lips) and halitosis (bad breath).

Enteric Coating Gets the Oils Where They Need to Be

Mentharil’s enteric coating enables getting the essential oils to right places in the gut. The softgels withstand the stomach acid on their way to the small intestine and finally to the colon.

Note: If you have esophageal reflux or GERD, do not take Mentharil without consulting your healthcare provider. Peppermint can relax the sphincter between the stomach and esophagus. This may allow stomach acids to flow back into the esophagus and worsen heartburn and indigestion symptoms.
