DIM Detox provides powerful support for the liver’s natural detoxification process and cellular health. It promotes healthy cell cycle function and metabolism of estrogen, dopamine, and norepinephrine.
Ingredients in DIM Detox include compounds naturally found in cruciferous vegetables (diindolylmethane) that promote phase II detoxification pathways. Cruciferous vegetables include broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage and kale.
DIM Detox also contains the bioflavonoid silymarin, a support for the liver. Silymarin is naturally found in the milk thistle plant. Silymarin as well as other ingredients like alpha lipoic acid and n-acetyl-l-cysteine, act to support phase II detoxification enzyme activity in the liver and offer antioxidant support for cellular protection. In addition, taurine, glycine and methionine promote phase II detoxification pathways and healthy cell metabolism.
People with genetic variations in the COMT gene may have reduced ability to detoxify estrogen as well as the neurotransmitters dopamine and norepinephrine.

This product contains milk thistle; milk thistle should be avoided by individuals with allergies to members of the aster (Compositea/Asteraceae) family, daisies, artichoke, kiwi or thistle.
Some studies have reported that milk thistle, calcium-d-glucarate and broccoli sprout extract can affect the way and speed that the liver breaks down medications, altering the effects of these medications and possibly the dose needed for treatment.
Broccoli sprout extract may react with blood thinning medications.
