MegaMucosa Has 3 Main Components
#1 Dairy-Free Immunoglobulins
MegaMucosa contains dairy-free immunoglobulins clinically shown to support a healthy immune response in the mucosa and a state-of-the-art flavobiotic clinically shown to support microbial diversity and alleviate barrier dysfunction, otherwise known as leaky gut.
The dairy-free immunoglobulin concentrate supports healthy digestion, neutralizes environmental toxins, and helps to Rebuild protective intestinal barriers. These IgG antibodies can reduce the damage of metabolic endotoxemia and neutralize LPS (lipopolysaccharides), an endotoxin that riggers mucosal activation.
#2 Key Gut-Healing Amino Acids
MegaMucosa also contains four key amino acids that play an important role in the production of intestinal mucosa: L-proline, L-serine, L-cysteine and L-threonine. These four amino acids have been shown to increase Mucin2 production and stimulate mucin synthesis in the colon, resulting in a thicker and healthier mucosal barrier.
#3 Citrus Polyphenols
MegaMucosa contains a natural citrus extract (MicrobiomeX) rich in polyphenols that supports digestive health and immunity by increasing microbial diversity in the gut and improving gut barrier function.
A clinical study using 500 mg of citrus fruit extract found a significant increase in short-chain fatty acid (SFCA) composition and a reduction in fecal calprotectin. Both results suggest that citrus polyphenols can reduce inflammation and modulate the microbial composition in the gut.
MegaMucosa is a Core Component of the 3- Pronged Total Gut Restoration Program from Microbiome Labs
The 3-pronged program is based on:
1. Reconditioning the gut with MegaSporeBiotic 100% bacillus probiotic to increase microbial diversity and encourage growth of key health-promoting, commensal gut bacteria (even during antibiotic therapy).
2. Reinforcing the beneficial microbial changes created by MegaSporeBiotic with MegaPreBiotic to promote a strong and diverse microbiome. It is composed of clinically-tested non-digestible oligosaccharides that can increase microbial diversity and selectively feed beneficial bacteria like Akkermansia muciniphila, Faecalibacterium prausnitzii, and Bifidobacteria.
3. Rebuilding the intestinal mucosa/addressing leaky gut with MegaMucosa, containing key amino acids, dairy-free immunoglobulins and citrus-based flavobiotic.

More About the Mucosal System
The mucosal system is a very important part of the human immune system. It is the main interface between the human body and the outside world. The mucosal system contains 150 times more surface area than skin, which makes it one of the most important immune barriers.
The health of the mucosa determines how the body interacts with antigens; therefore the integrity of the intestinal mucosa can dictate overall immune function.
Mucosa are membranes that line various cavities in the body; some secrete mucus, a thick protective fluid.
The mucosal membrane in the gut functions to stop pathogens and other unwanted molecules from getting into the blood stream.
Health in general starts in the gut.
Hippocrates said it in 400 B.C. and since then modern science has proven it. Any immune dysfunction (auto-immune, allergies, food sensitivities, rashes, psoriasis, eczema, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, etc.) can be traced back to a dysfunction in the GI. Any inflammatory condition can as well.
A healthy body starts with a healthy gut, and too many people are unhealthy because of an unhealthy gut. It’s easy to think of the skin as the body’s barrier to the outside world, but so is the gut.
The gut allows us to interact with the environment (which includes food), taking in what is necessary and beneficial and keeping out (hopefully) what might be unnecessary or harmful.
Now, modern science has shown us that weight control, mood, depression and other mental disorders are also connected to the gut (the second brain). Even chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, cancer, etc. can be traced back to the gut.
Everything starts in the GI.
