Curaphen
Clinically Studied BCM-95® Curcumin with BosPure® Boswellia
Unique and Proprietary Formula to Reduce Inflammation and Pain, Especially when Associated with Exercise and Overuse
About Curaphen’s Proprietary Complex
Curaphen contains BCM-95 Curcumin, BosPure Boswellia, DL-phenylalanine (amino acid) and Nattokinase.
BCM-95 Curcumin is a potent curcumin-essential oil complex. Curcumin (Curcuma longa) is a compound found in the spice turmeric.
BCM-95 acts in these ways:
√ supports healthy inflammation response
√ is a potent antioxidant
√ provides immune system support
√ protects from oxidative stress
√ provides natural pain relief
BCM-95 has up to 10 times better absorption and greater blood retention time (8-12 hours) than standard 95% curcumin extracts. (Standard curcumin is poorly absorbed.)
BosPure Boswellia is purified to increase the active boswellic acids that are anti-inflammatory compounds (AKBA – Acetyl-11-Keto-beta-Boswellic Acid), and to reduce inflammation-causing compounds (beta-boswellic acids). Boswellia extract (Boswellia serrata) in Curaphen helps modulate the activity of the inflammatory enzyme 5-LOX (lipoxygenase).
Other Active Ingredients in Curaphen
DL-phenylalanine amino acids have been shown to relieve occasional muscle pain due to exercise or overuse. Phenylalanine, an essential amino acid, naturally occurs in breast milk.
– L -phenylalanine boosts serotonin and dopamine levels which support mood and relieves pain.
– D-phenylalanine inhibits the breakdown of endorphins, a natural pain killing compound and mood booster.
Nattokinase, extracted from fermented soy, helps promote blood flow including microcirculation in the capillaries. This aids other ingredients and nutrients to reach all areas of the body. Nattokinase is an enzyme which helps break down the inflammation around the joints by helping to modulate the deposition of fibrinogen. Excess fibrinogen levels have been noted in post-exercise muscle pain and occasional muscle strain (natural response to the tearing of muscle fibers). This excess fibrinogen may contribute to muscle stiffness and excess fibrin (produced from fibrinogen) may block the body’s repair systems from getting to the inflammation.
Please note that Curcumin in large amounts may act as a blood thinner; people on anti-coagulants such as warfarin should only take nutrition supplements containing Curcumin under the care of a healthcare provider.
