Joint and Structural Support

Clinically Studied Sulfate Forms (vs. HCL), Amounts and Ratios
(1500 mg Glucosamine & 1200 mg Chondroitin per two tablets)

Glucosamine & Chondroitin are naturally occurring structural components of joints and surrounding tissues. They are a part of healthy joints and connective tissue.

Extra Strength Glucosamine and Chondroitin Sulfate contains the clinically studied sulfate forms and amounts of these compounds.

* Research demonstrates supplementation may provide support in people who have experienced a decrease in healthy cartilage, including the knees.

*(Many similar products contain the HCL forms of glucosamine and chondroitin which have not been clinically studied.)

Another benefit of this particular formulation is its convenient twice a day dosing. The majority of other glucosamine/chondroitin supplements require a more difficult to remember three times a day dosing.

The Science Behind These Building Blocks

  • Glucosamine is an amino acid sugar produced by chondrocyte cells in the cartilage. Chondrocytes synthesize, maintain and regenerate cartilage.
    • The body uses glucosamine to make glycoaminoglycan (GAGs) and proteoglycans, structural  molecules of connective tissues — skin, tendons, ligaments and joints.
    • Providing these “building blocks” necessary for joint and structural tissue formation, may help support the maintenance of healthy joint tissues.
  • Chrondroitin sulfate is another very important naturally occurring constituent of cartilage tissue.
    • Chondroitin sulfate works synergistically with glucosamine sulfate to encourage healthy cartilage production.

It usually takes several months of Glucosamine and Chondroitin Sulfate supplementation before symptom improvement is noticed.

Many of my clients use Glucosamine and Chondroitin plus a curcumin containing supplement such as Curaphen or CuraPro.

Curcumin has been clinically studied for its role in reducing pain and inflammation.
